LIONS' boss Brian Le Boutillier has struck lucky already this season where a number of his astute substitutions have come up trumps and led to games won which were drifting.
On Saturday at a windswept and bleak Portsmouth Road sports ground he appeared to have done it again when Danny Lewis was introduced into the fray on the half hour, albeit following an injury to Matt Styles.
Within seconds his close control and pace had upset the previously comfortable home defence and he had brought Mario Nurse into the game for the first time, ultimately turning a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 lead with minutes left.
