TWO TEENAGE girls claim they were sexually assaulted after leaving a Southampton nightclub in the early hours of this morning.
The girls, aged 17 and 18, were allegedly attacked after they left The Academy nightclub with two men.
Police are now appealing for any witnesses to the alleged assault.
The group left The Academy and walked to the Bedford Place/Carlton Place area where they say the men became aggressive after the girls refused to go home with them.
It is at this point that the alleged assault took place. Both girls pushed the men away and ran off towards London Road. Police described them as "very upset" but neither was injured.
CCTV from the nightclub and surrounding area is being checked but officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw the incident or think they may have seen anyone involved.
Anyone with any information should contact PC Martyn Gorse at Southampton Central
Police Station on 0854 045 4545.
