Rob Matthews looks set to leave Eastleigh this week after a number of clubs expressed an interest in the striker.
Manager Paul Doswell has confirmed that he has had contact with several clubs with Andover, Newbury, Gosport and Bashley all chasing the striker's signature.
With injuries to his three main strikers - Andy Forbes, Paul Sales and Nicky Banger - it was thought that Eastleigh may be reluctant to let the striker go but Doswell confirmed that with Forbes close to full fitness he was prepared to let Matthews leave.
The manager said: "Robbie doesn't want to go, but he has been put on the transfer list. Firstly to reduce to the wage bill and secondly because he needs to play first-team football - and I can't see him doing that here."
Matthews may not be the only player heading for the exit door as Neil Davies and Tyronne Bowers remain on the transfer list as Doswell looks to trim his squad.
However, the Eastleigh boss will not be looking for new recruits after spending big in the summer to land Forbes and Danny Smith:
"The reason we are getting rid of the three players is because the squad is top heavy, but the amount of injuries we have had has meant that all three had to play at the weekend.
"We had our two centre-backs out as well as our top strikers, and we are hoping in the next week that we will have some of them back. I'm happy with the squad I've got and I don't think we need new faces." he said.
