Bashley boss Geoff Butler is expecting a frenetic clash at Fleet Town - because of the summer exodus from the New Forest to Calthorpe Park.

Gary Connolly and Andy Darnton were among the players to move from Bashley to the north Hampshire club, so Butler is expecting a hectic 90 minutes.

He said: "My players have been talking about this game ever since our match against Ashford on Saturday, because Fleet nicked half our players before I arrived in the summer.

"There's obviously going to be a bit of needle and those players that left are going to want to show that they made the right decision, while ours are going to want to show that they made a big mistake.

"We know Fleet will be a threat after winning at the weekend - and we'll have to watch out for Andy Sinton."

Andy Forbes returns to the Eastleigh side for the crunch clash at mid-table Slough.

Summer signing Forbes is expected to make his fourth start of the season against Slough with manager Paul Doswell more hopeful about his striker's long term calf problem.

Doswell said: "We've had it looked at but it's more than a calf strain because it totally cramps up, but it's not an uncommon injury amongst footballers.

"Andy is good enough to play in the Conference but now he's got to prove that he's fit, he can't keep going into a game thinking he's going to break down.

"But he's shown enough in the three games that he's played. It's a strange league, we're all trying to find our feet but we've only lost two and that's with a patched-up side."

Forbes is not the only player set to return. Defender Rob Marshall is available again, so Forbes' former Winchester City teammate Danny Smith will return to midfield as the Ryman Premier division's draw specialists look for three points.

Doswell, who is also hoping to have Nicky Banger back at the weekend, added: "We've already drawn more games than we did last season but we're looking forward to this game."

Reigning Wessex League champions Winchester City welcome back Mark Blake for their match at home to Christchurch - but are without the suspended Gary Green.

Defender Ian Buckman could also make his home debut as Winchester look for their fifth win in seven games.

Director of football David Malone said: "Ian will probably start on the bench but is likely to take part at some stage.

"We're not playing that well at the moment but it'll come, we're not panicking."

Third from bottom Hamble ASSC host local rivals Fareham Town.

Hamble have yet to win this season but boss Larry Clay is backing them to bounce back from successive defeats against Vospers and Christchurch.

He said: "The lads did well enough on Saturday, we had 80 per cent of the play but were punished for two mistakes. They've got to learn from that and move on, but we will be up for it against Fareham - both sets of players know each other well."
