REGENERATION programme update: The link-up between High Street and Oakridge Road is planned for September.
Security guards are now on site and will be monitoring all areas between 4.30pm and 7.30am on weekdays and 24 hours at weekends.
The planting in the field in Oakridge Road is to be completed October/November, and gates are to be installed soon.
The area is due to open for public use later this year.
Regarding the South View school path, detail remains in consideration.
Alternative arrangements for school access are being discussed and will be communicated when finalised.
Any issues affecting residents of Oakridge Towers are being dealt with directly by Helen Parry.
Our regeneration liaison officer for the Sentinel housing group is Sara Petherick, who is doing an outstanding job in Oakridge.
So, if you have any concerns with the Oakridge Regeneration Scheme, contact Sara on 01252 788738.
All shops in the Oakridge shopping parade should be out of their old premises and into new ones by the end of September.
Once the shops have gone, builders will begin the task of sealing off the area ready for demolition.
