ALL creatures great and small: Two innovative events have taken place in Dummer over the past few weeks.
First, a fun dog show was held and, in spite of some worries that there may be problems, the whole event was well organised.
Not one of the stars of the show committed an offence, and all those who participated said what a great time they had.
There were prizes for best-behaved, scruffiest and most handsome dogs.
This was followed by a family service with a difference. Everyone was encouraged to bring their pet.
Last Sunday, dogs, rabbits, hamsters in cages and a very sleepy tortoise joined their owners in All Saints Church where, after a great talk by Father Clive, they were blessed.
Afterwards, the worshippers and their pets congregated in the churchyard for refreshments.
