RESIDENTS in Sarisbury Green are reaching the end of their tether with dozens of yobs who congregate on the village green racing mopeds, starting fires and writing graffiti.
The group of teenagers, known as the 'Sholing Boyz', spent Saturday night lighting a bonfire below a children's slide, daubing the cricket pavilion with graffiti, racing bikes and throwing litter.
Now villagers, civic chiefs and police are looking into how CCTV, road humps and other measures could combat the youth nuisance.
Sarisbury Residents' Association chairman Mike Pengelly said: "There are a large number of older people and those with young children living there and it must be very worrying for them."
Fareham Council leader Sean Woodward said: "Local residents there are so incensed they are even willing to pay for measures."
