HAMPSHIRE-based Premier business Audio, a leading supplier of on-hold telephone message solutions, has bought Phone Guardian, a revolutionary technology company involved in tracking people through the use of mobile phones and the Internet.

Phone Guardian is permission-based and has three main applications: workforce monitoring, fleeting vehicle tracking and the location of children.

The observer may search each mobile as frequently as required, and its location is shown on a web browser map, with accuracy to under 1km. The same information may be gained by telephoning Phone Guardian if the Internet is unavailable.

Jonathan Grant, pictured above, the boss of Premier, which is based near Whitchurch, said: "The technology offers highly cost-effective benefits to businesses spending thousands on GPS systems to locate employees, like taxi companies, haulage firms and sales teams."

Premier has expanded its client base by buying a 500-strong customer list from south coast competitor Audio Marketing Services.
