Bashley boss Geoff Butler blamed the referee for his side's failure to beat lowly Ashford.
Andy Culliford had an 83rd-minute goal disallowed despite protests that the ball had gone through a hole in the net, so Bashley had to settle for a 1-1 draw, with both goals coming from the penalty spot.
Dave Wakefield had struck a 70th-minute equaliser for the New Forest side, after a goalless first half, but Butler, pictured, was furious with the referee.
He said: "The ref was a major contributor to their goal. He got in the way of a pass and they went down the other end and won a penalty.
"They were both penalties, but he gave them a bit of help in the lead up to theirs, and then Andy had a perfectly good goal disallowed.
"The keeper went down but Andy's shot squeezed inside the post and through a hole in the net."
Danny Gibbons missed a free header at the beginning of the second half and Terry Fenwick's Ashford returned to Kent with a rare point.
Butler added: "Our goalkeeper, David Elm, didn't have anything to do."
