THE Russian terrorist atrocity gave extra pause for thought to those attending Chil-bolton Airfield's remembrance service on Sunday.
The two-minute silence to honour the Second World War dead was repeated in memory of the children and adults of Beslan who lost their lives in Russia's hostage crisis.
The Airborne Forces Service of Remembrance is now attracting greater numbers every year - around 200 people were thought to have supported the ceremony.
