THE throws took pride of place in Team Solent's annual Sprints and Throws Challenge at Southampton Sports Centre.
Belgrave's Leith Marar took the discus honours with a massive 51.01-metre effort, while Team Solent youngster Kieren Kelly continued his excellent season's form with a winning put of 15.43 in the shot.
Katy Watts, also representing the host club, maintained the high quality with another big throw of 45.97 in the women's javelin.
Kelly, the English Schools' shot champion from Lower Bemerton, near Salisbury, added third place in the men's discus to take the overall Throws Challenge Award.
Team Solent's Darryn Campbell shared the Sprints Challenge Award with Windsor speed merchant Ricky Morgan.
