STEVE Wheatland's 35th-minute overhead kick sealed VT FC's 1-0 home win over Hamble ASSC, but Planemakers' boss Larry Clay was fuming.
He blamed the referee for "costing us a point" by allowing the goal to stand. He said: "There was obstruction just inside our half and the lad handballed it. It was a poor decision by the referee and, worse still, he was laughing about it."
Scott O'Rourke had an outstanding game in goal for VT and Clay summed up: "We were no worse than they were, in fact we created more in the first half. We haven't been beaten by a better side."
