THESE four businessmen have every reason to smile - they've closed a £16m deal.

Corporate finance experts from business advisers Tenon, which is based near Southampton, successfully negotiated the sale of Octec, who they had been working with for two years, to Radstone Technology.

Bracknell-based Octec, which employs 50 people and supplies hi-tech video tracking and image processing systems to the aerospace market, was bought by Radstone, a FTSE-listed company which makes computer products for defence systems.

Tenon, which employs 130 people at its Chandler's Ford office, says it has completed transactions of more than £250m in the past year.

They include the sale of plug-to-jug hardware chain Robert Dyas (£61m), Jayhard Plumbing (£28m) and Merlin Entertainments (£73m).
