POLICE are hunting a gang of youths who attacked a man after throwing objects at his car as he drove through Southampton.

Objects rained down on the 46-year-old's car as he travelled along Canute Road forcing him to pull over.

As he got out of the car to confront the gang he was attacked by two of them leaving him with cuts on his neck and arms and bruising over his body.

He described one of his attackers as white, about 16 years old, with ginger hair, freckles, overweight and wearing light coloured clothing. The other youth was described as having black hair and yellow teeth.
