BEHIND the walls of an ancient Eastleigh church - famous for its one handed clock - is a fascinating story of St Nicolas who was a patron saint to murderers.
St Nicolas and the North Stoneham church dedicated to him will be the subject and backdrop for a performance by the popular local group, Sarah Siddons Fan Club on September 10, 11 and 12.
Entitled Saints and Sinners, the audience will enjoy a light hearted, historical performance from the fourth century up until the early 1600s about the life of St Nicolas.
It will also tell the story of the church (pictured) in North Stoneham itself including past parishioners and characters associated with it.
The play, which starts at 7.30pm, marks the National Heritage Weekend and is being backed by Eastleigh Council. Tickets cost £4 and can be bought from The Point's box office on 023 8065 2333.
