YOU may remember that a few weeks ago I told you about the rebuilding of the flowerbed and kerb at Grand Parade.

The plants were being moved back and the kerb mended as cars were consistently driving over this area.

Unfortunately there is still a problem of vehicles driving over this area and causing damage to the edge of the planting.

There have also been similar problems with bollards and the temporary fence further along the Parade, which separate the car park form the newly laid garden area.

Both the bollards and the fence are being bumped into on a regular basis, which means that the bollards are being uprooted from their concrete mountings.

There doesn't seem to be a simple solution to this except that we all need to be a little more careful when parking.

It would be a shame to spoil such a beautiful area that has taken so many years to achieve.

CELEBRATIONS are in order over the next few days down at the Crooked Billet as Richard Barwise Sanders is celebrating his 50th birthday.

The fun all ends with a Fun Quiz in the marquee tonight at 8pm. You will need to be in a team of four, and entrance is £1 per person.
