SPECIAL guests including the the town's mayor Cllr David Swanbrow, local dignitaries and members of enthusiasts group The Provincial Society were given a historic bus tour of Fareham.
The event marked the launch of a new exhibition.
Transport lovers will be able to follow suit as Westbury Manor Museum offers free rides in a former Provincial double-decker dating from 1942 to its visitors.
"All Aboard for Provvies Past" charts the changes in the history of Provincial buses, which served hundreds of families in Fareham and Gosport from the 1880s.
Visitors will be able to take a trip down memory lane as they learn about early horse-drawn and electric trams, charabancs and the famous old green and cream bus fleet with a display and interactive activities.
Bus trips are available from West Street on Saturdays.
The exhibition runs until September 26.
