MULTI-MILLION-selling Australian singer songwriter Darren Hayes has just announced the dates for his forthcoming Dark Light Tour 2004.
The tour, which will take him to eight cities around the UK, brings him to Southampton Guildhall on November 24.
Darren shot to success in the late 90s as one half of multi-platinum-selling duo Savage Garden.
Savage Garden first entered the UK charts in June 1997 with I Want You, which reached number 11.
They followed this success up with hits including To The Moon And Back, Affirmation and their most successful hit Truly Madly Deeply, which got to number three in the charts.
However, even after these successes, Savage Garden decided to call it quits in 2000 and Darren went on to focus on a solo career.
Success followed Darren, and his debut album Spin stormed to number two in the UK album charts, creating his own pop legacy.
His new album The Tension and the Spark marks a move away from the world of pop, as Darren was ready to follow his muses into bold and adventurous new territory.
Darren says, "It's an album that describes a personal journey from darkness into light. This record is my story, but also a human story that I think most people can relate to."
The Dark Light Tour gets under way in Manchester on November 15, playing at venues including Shepherds Bush Empire in London and Glasgow Academy before coming to Southampton.
