AN UNDEFEATED century by Havant all-rounder Will Prozesky ended any faint hopes that BAT Sports had of featuring in Saturday's Southern Electric 'Super 4s' Premiership Shield final against South Wilts.

The domiciled South African cracked an unbeaten 102, including 16 fours, as Havant cruised past BAT's disappointing 158 all out with almost 20 overs to spare.

It was the sixth time this season the Premier League juggernauts had met in league and cup ties, but BAT were never able to get going and produced a lacklustre performance.

Only David Banks (49) of their top order batsmen made any significant impression, but he lost four partners before becoming the second victim of left-arm spinner Stephen Foulger, who finished with 3-32.

Richard Hindley (1-23) produced a typically mean spell of off-spin bowling before Simon Preston (26) produced late-order resistance.

Once he perished to three-wicket seamer Mark Copping (3-32), the end was nigh for BAT, whose tail was polished off by Phil Loat (2-16).

Banks removed Simon Barnard (3), but by then - Havant had made 59 before the left-hander was trapped leg before - Prozesky had taken firm control and was headed towards his half-century with a plethora of boundaries.

Damian Shirazi bowled Hindley (12) at 108, but Prozesky and Andy Perry (28 not out) eased Havant past the winning post with time to spare.
