BROCKENHURST pulled off a FA Cup preliminary round shock with an impressive 2-1 victory away at Ryman League Division 1 high-flyers Burgess Hill Town.
The Sussex side triumphed 2-0 at Grigg Lane in a pre-season friendly but the Badgers gained their revenge when it really counted.
"It's a fantastic result and a win that we really deserved," smiled Brock boss Graham Kemp.
Brock took the lead after 20 minutes when a neat build-up ended with Dan Marks crossing for Jason Lovell to slot the ball under the home keeper.
Lee Winsall doubled their advantage with a stunning strike from 30 yards on 65 minutes with Leo Day heading in Town's reply from a corner late on.
FA Vase holders Winchester City also triumphed away at Ryman League 1 opposition as they turned over Corinthian Casuals 3-0.
Darren Powell opened the scoring on six minutes with a far post header from Liam Green's flag kick.
City grabbed a second before the break when a cheeky Green back-heel found Mark Smith who drilled the ball home.
Their third goal came two minutes from time, Matt Bicknell's cross to the far post was cleverly pulled down by Jamie Laidlaw, who flicked it up over his marker before firing the ball into the net.
AFC Newbury, who boast a 100 per cent record in the Wessex League, eased into the next round with an identical 3-0 scoreline at home to East Grinstead.
Anthony Alleyne headed the Berkshire side in front on 11 minutes from Lee Chudy's cross before Alleyne returned the compliment for Chudy to notch Newbury's second after 36 minutes.
Substitute Danny Taylor completed the scoring for Newbury after Ashley Vine's free-kick had hit the upright.
Wessex League table-toppers Gosport Borough squeezed through 2-1 away at Herne Bay, Ian Rew scoring the first and Neil Scammell snatching a 94th-minute winner.
The unluckiest man of the day must have been Alton Town striker Steve Poulton.
He netted a hat-trick in their tie against Ryman League 1 outfit Met Police but still finished on the losing side as the Police scraped home 4-3.
