A 12-year-old Swedish darting sensation, Oscar Lukusiak became the youngest darts player to hit the perfect 9-dart 501 leg on his way to winning the Boy's Youth Singles in the 2004 Denmark Open.

His achievement eclipses that of 13-year-old Dutch boy Pascal Van Mourik, who registered a 9-darter in competition play almost exactly a year ago.

British Darts Organisation general secretary Ollie Croft said: "Every darts player acknowledges that the 9-darter is special, but for a 13-year-old to have achieved it last year, only to have it equalled by a 12-year-old this year is extra-special."

Such is Oscar's enthusiasm for darts that he also entered the Denmark Open proper and finished a very respectful 17th.

Hampshire's Jane Monaghan finished in the last 16.

Winner of the men's singles was Scotland's Gary Anderson, who beat his compatriot and Scotland captain Mike Veitch in the final.

England's Trina Gulliver won both the women's singles and pairs (with Clare Bywater).

Colin Philpott (Osborne B) warmed up for the forthcoming county season opener against Cambridgeshire.

His efforts netted him a 15-dart leg and a maximum.

Wayne Baddams (Holy Family) and Dean Frost (Holy Family) also hit 180s. T Adams (Old Thatch) shot out on 106 and Matt Smith (Englishman) finished on 103.

Bishop's Waltham Men - summer league

Four pairs have made it to finals night on September 20.

And there looks to be splendid line up of players for the event. Brian Colenutt and Sue Challis will represent Hill Park and Steve Perren and Lisa Holloway will be there for Hedge End.

Bold Forester landlord and new winter season chairman Jim Ellyatt will compete with Georgie Page. Joining them in the hat on the night will be Mark and K Haskett (Eastleigh RI).

Eastleigh Town & Guests League

Netley BL may not win many games but they do get their players on the honours board.

Ben Paddington and D Bennett both hit 180s and completed a 13-dart pairs leg.

Bob Crawley and Danny Ballard both hit 15-dart legs in their games. Ian Edmunds (Sam's), Mandy Keith (Bitterne Park), Gary Painting (Bitterne Park) and M Pegham (Lock Stock and Barrel) all hit maximums.
