DOMINIC Kirwan, the Irish country star with the silky-smooth voice, brings his new show to The Anvil this month.
Dominic has enjoyed chart-topping albums and phenomenally successful concert tours worldwide.
Brought up in Omagh in a home full of music and traditional dancing, he is the first to admit that his Irish roots and strong musical influences of those early years can still be seen in his live shows today.
Success has not spoiled this mild-mannered star, who not only hosted his own television series but also picked up the prestigious BBC Entertainment Media of the Year Award for Easy Listening/Country Music.
He has spent time each year in Nashville since 1999, a formula which is highly praised by the critics and enthusiastically received by his fans.
But he has not forgotten his roots, and sets aside one weekend a year when he performs in his home town of Omagh, and each year the crowds get bigger and bigger.
Tickets for Dominic Kirwan, at 7.45pm on September 29, are priced at £14.
