THE Tidworth Blue Light Day took place for the fifth year running and was described as 'a really good day' by Michael Tranham, leading firefighter at Wiltshire Fire Brigade.
The aim of the event was to highlight the importance of safety but good fun was had by all, he added.
The emergency services taking part included police, Ministry of Defence police and Wiltshire Rescue Services.
The controversial new police motorbikes with safety cameras were on show for visitors to examine.
Josette Lesser from Garrison Radio was cut free after being 'trapped' in a car in a demonstration by Ludgershall firefighters.
A motorcycle which had been involved in a crash was also on display together with a video of the motorcyclist's journey. The rider, who has since died, had strapped a camera to his chest to record himself racing, darting in and out of traffic and doing wheelies.
The overall message children and adults took home from the day was the importance of safety.
