HAVANT & Waterlooville's fallen stars have got a point to prove to manager Dave Leworthy at home to Cambridge City tomorrow.
Any more of the sub-standard fare Hawks produced over the bank holiday weekend and certain players - or even Leworthy himself - could be heading for the door.
After being held 1-1 at home by St Albans last Saturday, Hawks plumbed new depths in Monday's 2-1 defeat at Carshalton.
"I told the players that I wouldn't be around at the club for long if they continued to put in performances like that," snapped Leworthy, left.
"But neither will they because I won't tolerate that.
"If things weren't going well when I was a player, I worked hard to turn things around, but I saw none of that in the second half at Carshalton.
"There are so many strange results that we should be kicking ourselves for dropping five out of six points. Instead of ninth we could have been up at the top, but the character and commitment of previous games was totally missing."
Skipper Neil Champion should be back tomorrow from a jarred back and striker Gavin Holligan's hamstring problem may not be quite as serious as originally thought.
