Amport v Rowner
A gutsy performance from Amport on Saturday saw them maintain their County 2 status for next year.
In a tight battle for the last relegation spot any one of four sides could have gone down and with Rowner currently sitting in that spot before the last round of matches it was very tempting for Amport to play safe and call the game off thus ensuring their own survival.
In all honesty the pitch at Keepers Hill was not fit for a decent game of cricket but in fairness to the visitors and in the spirit of the game Amport went ahead on the basis of may the best team win.
