AFTER the laughter heaven of its comedy festival in July, Newbury has since had little to titter about, thanks to an unusually wet August.
However, Jongleurs on the Road returns to its regular monthly slot at The Corn Exchange this Friday, at 7.45pm.
With both the MC and the headliner still under wraps, the excitement is rife with anticipation at the town centre venue.
However, the evening's bill can be confirmed as containing Inder Manocha (pictured above), Noel Britten and Imran Yusuf.
Noel's Bizarre Bath comedy tour of his hometown - Bath - has become so popular that it's now featured in the Choice Travel Guide and has reached the status of a "must-do" for many visitors to the city.
From the outset, Noel was described as "without a doubt, the country's finest emerging stand-up talent" by Comedy Review Magazine and he has notched up seven years of solid experience.
Inder Manocha beat both Lenny Henry and Meera Syal to the prestigious best comedian award at the EMMAs this year, and at last year's Edinburgh Festival was invited to appear at The Assembly Rooms' popular Best of the Fest night - twice!
Inder began his career in 2001, reaching the final of the national competition So You Think You're Funny.
Imran Yusuf was a semi-finalist in this year's So You Think You're Funny, but will be best known as the winner of Newbury Comedy Festival's You Must be Joking! competition.
