Eastleigh driver Shane Kelly stayed third in the national ARP Formula 3 Championship with another podium finish at Oulton Park.

Kelly qualified fifth on the grid but made up two places before the first bend.

He then took Keith Baldwin for second but with older tyres which began to lose grip late in the race, Kelly in an Opel Dallara, succumbed to a challenge from John Gray with only five laps left.

But the result was good enough for Kelly to stay in third place going to Snetterton on September 12 where he has already achieved two podium finishes this season.

Nick Williamson is making a powerful defence of the Toyo Tyres Modified Production Saloon Car Championship.

With five rounds to go, the Southampton driver is overall leader but by just two points from Gareth Porter, who runs alongside him in Class C Williamson has six class wins from seven starts so this season.

Mini motocross marvel Kayleigh Durston is going for a hat-trick in the Girls National Finals at Culham on September 11 and 12.

The ten-year-old from Sholing in Southampton has moved up to a more powerful 65cc KTM for 2004 after an impressive record on the smaller bikes.

She won the Auto Class on a 50cc KTM in 2002 and 2003 to become British champion and is confident of making it three titles in a row next week.
