Chris Tremlett is battling to be fit for the last game of the season after being ruled out of Monday's totesport National League match against the Gloucestershire Gladiators.
Hampshire are expected to be unchanged from the side that beat the Northamptonshire Steelbacks at Milton Keynes last week so James Hamblin, Greg Lamb and Alan Mullally are likely to replace Michael Brown, Derek Kenway and James Bruce from the side that drew with Durham in the championship this week.
But Tremlett's struggle to recover from his latest foot injury is a worry.
Manager Paul Terry said: "Unfortunately, Chris is looking at the championship match against Derbyshire as his comeback. He hasn't recovered as quickly as he hoped."
Hampshire know that they will clinch a top-three finish in the totesport National League's first division if they beat Gloucestershire in the county's last home game of the year.
The 67-run win against third-from-bottom Northants all but assured them of top-flight one-day cricket next year, and they could yet finish as runners up to the Glamorgan Dragons if they win their final limited overs match of the season on Bank Holiday Monday.
Hampshire (probable): Hamblin, Adams, Crawley, Katich, Lamb, Pothas, Mascarenhas, Udal, Warne, Taylor, Mullally.
