CHILDREN from The Oak Tree Nursery in Whitchurch have been spending a day celebrating children's literature by dressing up as their favourite characters and bringing in their best loved books.
Both staff and children dressed up for the day and lots of fun activities were planned including guess the character.
Sarah Burns, manager at The Oak Tree said: "The event is a great way of combining both fun and learning. Children have been really excited about choosing who they wanted to be for the day and looking forward to sharing stories with their teachers and friends. At the same time, the day supports our policy of fostering a love of books at an early age by showing them that reading books is fun."
