Andover v Hampshire Academy
ANDOVER CC, sponsored by Powells, were hosts to the Hampshire Academy at their final home Southern Electric Premier Cricket League match on Saturday.
With all the torrential rain on the Friday the home side worked on the pitch from 7am Saturday morning and did a fantastic job in being able to host a match at all.
The original strip was not playable and an under prepared strip had to be used.
The Academy won the toss and asked the home side to bat.
They probably regretted this when the two openers, Mark Miller and Ian Langdown, put on a partnership of 106 before Langdown (51) was caught by White off the bowling of Allam.
