Penton v Highfield
At 9.30 on Saturday morning the game could have easily been called off as the wicket was damp to say the least.
But two centuries and a couple of fifties warranted playing Penton's final home game of the season against Highfield.
Losing the toss is almost accepted so being asked to bat first came as no surprise. The loss of Dave Penfold (7) early on brought together the two left-handers of Roy Burch and Bruce Blyth.
