Geoff Butler was again let down by Bashley's ineffectual finishing after the Foresters' unbeaten start to the season was marred 1-0 at Molesey last night.
"It wasn't a poor performance overall, but it was poor in as much as we couldn't score," the boss summed up.
Richard Gillespie, Adie Adams and Dave Wakefield all had chances, but it was Steve Beeks's Molesey who found the all-important finish through Julian Phillips on 68 minutes.
"We had all the chances. I can't remember one that they had apart from the goal," said Butler. "We can't afford to lose against sides like these, but it's the same old story - we're short on bodies and we can't score.
"Mind you," he added. " We had a blatant penalty turned down. We flicked a free kick over the wall and Adie ran onto it and was just about to pull the trigger when he was pushed in the back. No one could believe the ref didn't give it. People were laughing."
