Sir.-The RAFP Association is currently involved in producing two books on the history of the RAF Police, compiled by Steve Davies, our historian.

The first book is The first 100 years, 1917-2017', the second book is Halt or I'll release my Dog - a companion volume devoted to handlers and their dogs.

We would really like to hear from any ex-members of the RAF Police and serving members, who have photographs, memories, anecdotes and stories of their time in the service.

We are also interested in sourcing information on three tragic aircraft crashes - an RAF York crashed into the sea off Penang in October, 1946, Scottish Airways York crashed on take-off in Malta in February, 1956, and an RAF Blackburn Beverley crashed near Abingdon in March, 1957.

Material may be sent to me at michael.oneill67@ntlworld or fax to 02392 362756. Alternatively, anyone who may be able to help can telephone 02392 796703.

Any communication will be acknowledged and photographs will be returned.

This an ideal opportunity to have your experiences recorded for posterity.

-Ex "Snowdrop" and Dog Handler Mitch O'Neill.
