SCORES of horse fans enjoyed a specially arranged show near Droxford at the weekend to raise cash for a children's cancer ward at a local hospital.
Talented rider Lisa Berry died in May this year, aged 12, after contracting a rare form of bone cancer.
A keen sports enthusiast, Lisa enjoyed swimming, athletics and dancing, but it was at the Hambledon Hunt North Pony Club and on her pony Woody that she was happiest.
Members of her riding club held the special meet to raise some much-needed extra funding for the Piam Brown children's cancer ward at Southampton General Hospital, where Lisa was treated. The E-Quest Summer Show was held at the Mayhill Stud on Swanmore Road in Droxford on Sunday.
Organisers were still counting up the cash from the event but are hoping that it will raise several hundred pounds for the ward.
