HAVE you ever fancied yourself as a bit of an artist?
If so, you can try your hand at creating a masterpiece at Southampton Art Society's life drawing class, taking place on Thursday.
There will be a model, a tutor and a demonstration to help get you started.
And the easily embarrassed needn't stay away - the model won't be naked!
The class has been organised by Southampton Art Society as part of their open art exhibition.
The exhibition, entitled Celebrating the Solent, features work submitted by artists in the area.
It is being held in the Community Gallery at St Mary's Church in St Mary Street, Southampton, which is also where the class is taking place.
There is also an arts day on Saturday, where you can watch artists at work or have a go yourself, and a "have a go" night on Thursday, September 2, where you can try watercolours, silk painting, pastels and more, all with a little help.
Entry to the exhibition, which runs until September 4, is free. Admission to the classes is £2 per person.
