A GROUP of aspiring filmmakers from Andover are taking the town's cultural crisis into their own hands by making a movie.
Despite no signs of a cinema coming to Andover, Sinister Dexter Productions (SDP) hope the town can have a starring role in the flicks.
It would be a dream come true for directors Adam Russell and Kevin Scullion if they could premiere their film in a new concert-style venue in their home town.
"The ultimate aim is to show this film at Cannes. By doing so we want to put Andover on the map and tell people it's a great place," said spokesman Drew Horner.
The team of movie buffs are filming their second production, an action thriller called Harbinger, at locations in and around the town.
Filming will be completed by the end of August, after which the lengthy editing process for the 90-minute feature will begin. For details visit www.sinisterdexterproductions. com
