POLICE have released an e-fit of a man who they think might have vital information about a series of indecent exposures which have taken place in Andover since the beginning of the year.
In the most recent incident, which took place around 3pm on Thursday 29 July, a man exposed himself and performed an indecent act in front of several groups of people as they walked along the Cricketers Way footpath.
Detectives investigating that incident are linking it to more than 20 similar indecent exposures that have been reported in the town since the beginning of January.
Detective Constable Simon Leese, of Andover CID, said: "Several of the people who witnessed these indecent acts were teenaged girls, who were left quite distressed by the incidents.
"I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the e-fit, or who has any other information, to contact us immediately. "People don't always report indecent exposures to the police, but I would remind people that if they see something like this they should call 999 immediately."
Police have a good description of the man and are keen to speak to anyone who thinks they might know him or who has any other information that might help them in their inquiries.
The man is described as white, in his 20s, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall and is of medium build.
He has blue eyes and blonde or strawberry blonde hair - possibly spiked or unkempt.
He had blue and green tattoos on his upper body, including a Celtic style tattoo on his upper back.
Witnesses or anyone with any other information should contact Dc Simon Leese at Andover CID on 0845 045 45 45 or call the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
