Three goals in a whirlwind nine first-half minutes were enough to give Poole Town a comfortable 3-0 opening day victory against Fawley.
Gary Funnell opened the scoring in spectacular style for the Dolphins on the half-hour mark with a stunning 30-yard free-kick. Straight from the restart, Fawley lost possession and a slide-rule pass by Funnell released Lee Manning who doubled their advantage.
On 39 minutes, Gary Fletcher found Taffy Richardson whose cross was converted by Leigh Cornick for Poole's third. Town's Chris Reeves said: "It was a very satisfying result and we have scored some terrific goals."
Blackfield were pipped 1-0 by a Flye goal at home to Stockbridge.
