STEPPING back in time at a Fareham museum really went with bang during a Napoleonic weekend.

Visitors to the Royal Armouries at Fort Nelson were given a unique chance to see a crew of Royal Horse Artillery Gunners fire an original 1813 cannon.

Motorbike-riding members of the Norton Owners' Club were also at the fort to celebrate 100 years as an international club.

The gun was fired hourly by a crew of Royal Horse Artillery Gunners and visitors were given guided tours and explored secret tunnels and chambers.
