THREE music students are tuning up for a special concert to help local cancer patients.
Singers Annie Masters, Jessica Broad and Georgina Wood have organised a charity performance to boost funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief's South Hampshire Appeal.
All proceeds from this Saturday evening's concert at Crosfield Hall, Romsey will help fund a £1m cancer information and support centre at Southampton General Hospital.
The fundraiser was the idea of 19-year-old Annie, of Lockerley, near Romsey.
She was inspired to help the Daily Echo-backed appeal after seeing several acquaintances diagnosed with cancer.
Annie, who is studying music at Cardiff University, said: "Quite a few people I know have had cancer in the last couple of years.
"It made me think I wanted to do something to help."
The teenager got together with friends Jessica and Georgina, both 18 and from Salisbury, to organise the concert.
All former pupils of Godolphin School, Salisbury, the trio have been singing together for the past three years.
Their performance will feature a wide range of music, including solos, duets and trios by Mozart, Gershwin, John Lennon and many others.
The concert starts at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £8 and include a drink on arrival and a finger buffet.
They can be reserved in advance by calling Annie on 01794 340215.
Building work has already started on the state-of-the-art cancer information and support centre, which will help patients, friends and families.
Facilities will include internet access, refreshments and counselling.
Other services designed to help cancer patients include complementary therapies, wigs and headgear and advice on benefits.
