BIKEIT Dixon Yamaha rider Andrew McFarlane bounced back from a shoulder injury to take third place overall in the Belgium MX2 Grand Prix at Namur.
The Swanmore team couldn't have expected any more from their Australian rider, who despite being far from fit, took fifth and eighth places for third overall.
Even that wasn't enough to stop McFarlane slipping out of fourth place in the world championship standings with only three of the 16 rounds remaining.
The other Dixon Yamaha rider, Billy Mackenzie, switched to the MX1 class to ride a 450cc machine and finished in tenth place. But race two proved something of a disaster as the young Scot stalled the bike and struggled to restart the hot engine.
