GET-TOGETHER: There will be an afternoon get-together on Tuesday, between 2pm and 4pm, at Heath End Hall.

There will also be a bring-and-buy and a raffle, as well as refreshments and activities. Everyone is welcome, and transport can be arranged.

FREE family play spectacular: Takes place on Friday, from 1.30pm to 4pm, at the Hurst Leisure Centre, Brimpton Road, Baughurst.

This is an afternoon of activities for everyone (but children under eight must be accompanied by an adult).

Activities include face painting, water, bouncy castle, hair braiding, sand, apple bobbing, painting, circus skills. Larger games and refreshments will be available.

These activities are supported by Baughurst Parish Council, Tadley Town Council, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and Hampshire Play Network.

POSTPONED: The car treasure hunt, due to be held during August, has had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

BAUGHURST Society: The next community lecture will take place on Thursday, September 9, at 7.30pm, at Heath End Hall, when local group chairman Julian Pilcher from the CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England) will talk about its work and aims.
