THESE intrepid Sea Scouts from Southampton are the third group to receive a share of cash in our £10,000 give-away.
The 9th Itchen and Woolston Methodist Sea Scouts have received £150 in the Daily Echo Combined Insurance Make it Happen awards.
We teamed up with Kingston upon Thames-based company Combined Insurance to give all our readers the opportunity to apply for some money for their communities.
We've had hundreds of entries from all sorts of groups and individuals who believe even small amounts of cash can make a big difference.
One of our early entries came from these Sea Scouts, who told us they desperately needed some new life jackets.
The group has more than 70 members aged between six and 14. Without vital equipment some of them are left standing on the shore while others go canoeing and sailing.
Chairman Reg Green said: "This money will make a real difference. It will mean a lot to the boys, who will all benefit. We have been very short of money; it's hard to come by.
"I think these awards are a brilliant idea; it's so difficult to get financial support these days."
We are starting to make awards but there's still more money in the pot. So don't miss this rare opportunity - simply fill in the form.
