HAMPSHIRE'S second XI make their annual trip to the north of the county on Tuesday for a three-day game against Kent in the Second Eleven Championship.
This should give the chance for young Basingstoke star Mitchell Stokes to play on his home ground, as he has been part of the Hampshire Academy and second XI this year.
Last season, Hampshire beat Surrey by four wickets in a very entertaining game, as they scored 330 in their second innings to win the match.
Alec Morris (169) and Lawrence Prittipaul (77) led the run charge, as the pair shared a match-winning third-wicket stand.
This time around, the game at May's Bounty pits the home side, who finished third in last season's championship, against Kent, who were the eventual runners-up.
Play starts on each of the three days from 11.30am. Currently, the Hampshire second string are in action in Guildford against Surrey, looking to start their climb up the table, where they are presently in 14th spot.
Hampshire should bring a side with a number of first-team players under the guidance of captain James Hamblin.
The batting line-up is likely to include Will Kendall, Prittipaul and Greg Lamb, who have all figured for the first team this term.
The trio of Hamblin, Kendall and Prittipaul are the side's top three batsmen in the championship, with Kendall scoring a century in the recent draw in Glamorgan, where he shared a 207-run second-wicket stand with Chris Benham (114).
Their fearsome bowling attack should be spearheaded by the side's leading wicket-takers James Bruce and James Tomlinson.
