TO mark the retirement of Harrow Way headteacher Chris Overton pupils, staff and ex-pupils staged a three-night run of Shakespeare's The Tempest.
A buffet supper with the cast and audience was held after the performance on the last night.
On the final day of term Mr Overton was given a humorous farewell by all the staff as they came together for a 'Chris Overton, this is your life' presentation.
Pictures of the retiring headteacher as a baby up to the present day were enjoyed by all.
Mr Overton was presented with a signed photograph of the 1966 World Cup winning squad, a signed photograph of the 2003 Rugby World Cup and a montage from the Sgt Pepper album with the faces of the staff superimposed.
Mr Overton said he was very sad to be ending his teaching career but the school was in better shape than it had ever been and the staff were the strongest he had ever had the pleasure of working with.
