IT is yet more proof that you really can make things happen for your community.
These children from Southampton have received a share of the cash in our £10,000 giveaway.
The Coxford Adventure Playground was given £300 in the Daily Echo and Combined Insurance's Make it Happen awards.
The Daily Echo teamed up with Kingston upon Thames company Combined Insurance to give every one of our readers the opportunity to apply for money that could make a real difference to the lives of people in their community.
Hundreds of entries poured in from all sorts of groups and individuals with a variety of great ideas.
One of the first came from leaders of the popular Coxford playground, who told us they desperately needed some cash to buy some new toys and play equipment.
The group receives an annual grant of about £3,000 from the city council but with 30 children attending free of charge every day, staff are always looking for ways to boost funds.
Playworker Claire Cummings said: "We are absolutely thrilled with this money - it means such a lot to the children.
"Every year thousands of children come here to play and the numbers keep rising. Our services are really needed."
