Portsmouth and Southsea II v Longparish
THE euphoria which has engulfed the Barker, Son and Isherwood sponsored side over the last two weeks with excellent victories over leading sides in Hants County Div 4 came to an untimely end on Saturday.
Parish travelled to Drayton Park Sports Ground to play Portsmouth and Southsea II and were asked to bat first when Paul Blackmore lost the toss.
The pitch was well matted wih coarse grass and gave some assistance to the bowlers. John Young and Paul White had given Longparish a good start before Young departed for 26 with the total on 77-1.
