BUS stop signs: Look out for the new "flags".
This is the latest way of describing bus stop signs, and a total of 24 new ones are to be installed throughout Chineham.
For most people, the benefit will be provision of a timetable on the pole. All that is needed now are buses which reliably run to the printed timetable!
CHRIST Church, Reading Road, news: The church's fellowship group meets on the second Tuesday of the month (which, this month, is August 11) for a service of readings, prayers and hymns.
This month, group members will be sharing poems, prayers, readings and stories with each other, so anyone wishing to attend is asked to bring something along to share.
Coffee will be served from 9.45am, and the meeting begins at 10.15am.
Everyone is welcome to come along.
LIBRARY: The mobile library will again be in Chineham, this coming Thursday.
The bus full of books will be parked in Chineham Village Hall car park between 4pm and 4.20pm.
REMINDER: There is no parish council meeting this month. However, things will be back to normal in September, with meetings on the second Monday of each month.
Meanwhile, should you have any local issues you would like to raise, contact the assistant clerk, Mrs Gillian Baker, on 761790.
