OPEN gardens: The open gardens on July 11, in support of the Bramley Show, were a great success.
The hard work by owners of the seven gardens involved certainly gave lots of pleasure, and there were many comments on the quality of the displays.
Gill's teas went down well, and everyone looks forward to this becoming an annual event.
A total of £135 was made for Bramley Show funds.

Many thanks to this year's participants.
CHURCH and CMS fete: Another success to report is the fete that was on July 17.
All went well at the new venue, where there was room for the wide variety of stalls on the British Legion ground.
The bouncy castle was popular and refreshments were welcome on such a hot afternoon.
Florence the zebra was a star attraction and the music provided by Tadley Concert Brass was enjoyed by all.
There were dozens of prizes in the grand raffle, and the count-up of money raised at the end of the day was £1,600 - a great result.
This will be shared between the church and CMS funds. A big thank you to all who helped make it such a success.
HARVEST time: Time to make a diary note for September 26, when there will be harvest services at St James' Church and a harvest lunch, for which tickets will be available.
