HEAVY overnight rain caused treacherous conditions for drivers on Hampshire's roads this morning.
About 6.4mm of rain fell during the night across the county with more heavy showers and thunderstorms forecast for this afternoon.
The Met Office said the unsettled weather would continue tomorrow with a cloudy start followed by heavy showers.
Top temperatures later today were set to reach a high of 23C (73F).
Met Office spokesman Angus Bruce said the weather would remain unsettled until the weekend.
"The bad weather is due to some slow-moving low pressure coming in from across the Atlantic," he said.
